ThemeSite respects the rights of software developers, designers, authors, and other copyright owners. This policy explains how to report alleged copyright infringement and how we handle copyright notices and counter-notifications.
Open-source software remains protected by copyright. The GNU General Public License (GPL) permits redistribution, including commercial redistribution, subject to its terms.
We assess copyright concerns in relation to the specific material, applicable license, and rights involved. We do not assume that every image, font, document, or other asset included with software shares the same license. If your concern involves an asset or a license violation, identify the material and explain the rights or license terms you believe are affected.
If you are a copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf, send a written notice containing:
Send all copyright notices and counter-notifications to Support@themesite.net. For copyright notices, use the subject Copyright Notice — ThemeSite. For counter-notifications, use Counter-Notification — ThemeSite. Include the information listed in the relevant section of this policy.
We review copyright notices promptly. When a notice is valid, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material concerned. We may request missing information needed to assess a notice and, where relevant, notify the user or supplier responsible for the material.
Removing or disabling access to material does not determine copyright ownership or establish that infringement has occurred.
Where the DMCA counter-notification procedure applies, a person whose material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification may submit a written counter-notification containing:
Send your counter-notification using the contact instructions in Section 2. We will forward a valid counter-notification to the original complainant. Where this procedure applies, we will restore the material no earlier than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notification, unless we first receive notice that the complainant has filed a court action seeking an order restraining the allegedly infringing activity.
Where applicable, we terminate repeat infringers’ accounts in appropriate circumstances. We may also restrict access to or remove material while addressing copyright claims.
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a copyright notice or counter-notification may result in legal liability.
We may share relevant information from a notice or counter-notification with the affected party, service providers, or authorities as needed to address the claim. Do not include passwords, payment credentials, or unrelated sensitive information.
We may revise this policy to reflect changes in our procedures or applicable law. The current version is published on this page, with the last-updated date shown above.
